Default shaker system

I was looking through some stuff and found a shaker system offered for the v6 on american muscle. I have been wondering exactly how it works and if ther would be any real performance gains from a shaker system and if you have any info on the shaker system please share.

I have one on my 05 GT. I can see from the filter that it is indeed pushing air into the filter box. I don't know that I would say that there is a HP gain, but putting cold air into the intake is always a good thing.

Yeah i've heard its like an extra 2 HP tops, its mostly purchased for retro looks and the novelty that it shakes when driving at high speeds. And like Casey says, its always good to get more cold air to the engine

biggest thing with the shaker hood is the look, and it looks bitchin. Your engine torques when you rev it and the shaker scoop moves, really cool. But hp gains, naw

Its got the coolness factor but as for HP increases, there are other avenues to go down.
But on the appearance mod sheet, its right up there with the CDC glass roof and the
SHR Flush Mount louvered 1/4 windows...

Seems like that would add to the front lift problem of the OEM hood
at high speeds with it overhanging over the grill like that.
I guess hhod pins are mandatory on the B2 hood?

It sure looks tough like only Cervinis can do.

Yeah I love those hood/headlight extension kits. Too bad the whole Cervinis kit is expensive and the aeroform kit is expensive and ugly

i like the look of the shaker but i am thinking mroe along the line of the cervinis heat extractor hood and i think the two together might be a bit much for the front end. so i think what im going to do is rig up my own "ram" air scoops in my lower grill and pipe them up to the intake, keep the cold air coming in without overloading my hood with the extractor and the shaker. any thoughts on this setup?

Haha! db is catching up.

Be careful Stang-aholic, you will get lots of shake with that combo.

Since your car is black, you can get the Foose hood pre-painted from CDC for $650.
That is a killer deal my friend.
Add the Shaker for $700 or so, and you're there for cheaper than Cervini.
I wish they had that promo when I got my kit.
