Dual exhaust issue.
#13
I moved this from another section, to a more V-6 specific discussion area.
My wifes 05 V-6 convertable has Eibach springs on it, I had the original single exhaust removed and replaced with a kit that has "Pypes" duals and GT mufflers. The axel hits the exhaust pipes that go over it when the car goes over a big bump.
Product support at Pypes says they were not installed correctly, my installer says they were.
Any one have any issues such as this?

Expect the rattle...
Or weld em instead of clamping.
Installer knows no better.
If they ratt;e, they were incorrectly installed.
Have you crawled under to have a look at
his whiz bang job yet?

Another thing to look at, is the axle right in the middle of the hump in the exhaust? The midpipe may need to be shifted forward (towards the front bumper) slightly. Possibly requiring a little trimming of the end of the pipe. If the pipe wasn't cut back far enough, when installing the X pipe, this could cause that.
But if this does help, make sure your muffler tips are going to be in an appropriate place.

Ther are no rattles, I supervised the installation and the issue did not appear till after I road tested it.

Mike from Pypes wants pictures of the installation so he can recommend a fix.
I would drive the car to the Pypes facility in Pennsilvania but they are 400 miles from me - - I might have to do that eventually.
