I had a local shop put my kit on today with the cold air. I like it. Is it supposed to smell at first? Also i was wondering if i should notice the sound difference more or less. I know its a 6 so its not gonna be incredibly loud. Let me know what you think.

What kind of smell are you getting?

And yes, the FRPP is louder than stock. You should notice a difference.

It smells really bad. Its gotta be coming from the exhaust. Maybe its the mixture. I was wondering when i get my oil changed do i need to use different oil?

The smell is most likely the protective coating on the exhaust. It may take awhile to burn off. If the odor occured immediately after these items were installed, it's NOT your oil. Did the CAI come with a new tune? I think the FRPP CAI will throw a CEL for running lean w/o a tune. Don't know if THAT could cause the exhasut to smell, too.

"...had a local shop put my kit on today with the cold air..."

"...when i get my oil changed..."

How about buying a couple of basic tools and start saving some $$ on these super-easy mods and oil changes? You'll end up with lots more $$ for future mods.

Nuke is right, the exhaust pipes have a coating on them that needs to burn off. It took a couple weeks for mine to completely burn off.

Doing the work yourself will definitly save you some money and things like oil changes are very simple.
On the flip side, I have somebody else do my oil changes on the stang. I have a friend that does it for cost at his shop. I spend the same thing if I do it or he does. That way I can get a good look at everything while it is on the lift. My other vehicles are high enough I can change the oil without jacking them up (so I do them).
