Default GT right side exhaust for v6

ok im 16 and have little money to spend on my mustang but was looking for a cheap exhaust to help her breathe and sound better. Could i get the right muffler from a GT and put in on my v6? How hard is it to slap on my car...like could I put this on myself with almost no car mechanic experience?

Here is the one I was looking at Please wait

I'm not sure if you can mix and match the GT's with the V6's, but I would imagine that in the long run it may just be a better, less tedious, and cheaper idea to purchase a third party exhaust designed for your V6

Yeah this is a very common thing to do and most people are very happy with it. $30 is the standard rate for the install but it can be done by yourself. It doesn't require welding or anything, you just use the existing hangars, it's as easy as your mechanic described it

No problem. Btw, I took a look at the ad and saw that you bought a muffler off a manual transmission car, which means you bought the better breathing and louder muffler. Congrats on the smart purchase haha

I had the single gt take off exhaust for a few months and its a great change but its nothing like duals. all you need is a few wrenches and a 1/2 hour and you'll have much better sound

You had a 50/50 chance on getting a GT AUTO
tranny take-off muff or a GT M/T muff.
auto is stamped F1-7991-R, manual is stamped F1-7849-R
Congrats, you got the right one.
The AUTO GT take-off is not worth the time or $$.
The V6 muff set-up breathes plenty good to support
mods with ease. You will only get a nice sound change...
