Default Englishtown [Raceway Park] Fall Swap

For anyone who's gone before; is it better to go the first day [Seems to be hot rod oriented] or the second day [production car day] for Mustang swap meet parts?

It is actually a 3 day swap meet. The swap meet stuff is the same mix on all three days. Friday would be the best if you want to try and a hard to locate part before some one else does. Sunday afternoon you can make the best deals since the vendors don't want to pack up any more then they have to, especially good deals if the weather is crappy all weekend. Overall Saturday is the busiest day and you will be the least rushed as many vendors will start packing up early on Sunday. For S197 parts Friday or Sat is probably best since you will be looking for new parts and there will be only so many on hand. Big items like hoods, bumper covers and rear window louvers are especially good deals as you save shipping and tax.

The fall swap meet is this weekend. They hold 2 a year a fall and spring. I wish I was only 15 min away but I moved to PA instead of south Jersey, I'm originally from north Jersey. Fords at Carlisle is a better show/swap if your a Ford/Mustang guy. At etown you really need two days to see everything since it is every make and model plus lots of other stuff. At Carlisle you can do it in a day and it is so nice to just see Ford stuff and not have to rush past tons of other brand crap looking for stang stuff. I do like some of the deals you will find at etownon on other stuff that isn't necessarily automotive related, like clothes, jewlery and other household type stuff. Carlisle has some of that but not too much. Good for gifts, work clothes, keepping the kids and wife of girlfriend interested for a little while.

It ends tomorrow 09/27. If your a mechanic, it's tool heaven. Parts were pretty scattered.

this year was kinda crappy, i went on saturday and there were only a few companies there for our cars...CJ Pony Parts, Cervinis, and Pypes Exhaust...everything else was basically garbage(IMO)...and if you have a V6 Stang you pretty much SOL for anything...i have gone the past 3 years and the only thing i have got a good deal on was my hood from Cervinis...only because it fits the GT Mustang also....
