Hey all, fairly new here, been watching for a long time.

Anyhow...got myself an 05 V6 and some dip**** dinged my left rear tire hub. It didn't scratch the paint, and the repairs are less than my deductable...but still getting quoted at $300+ to fix the damn thing.

It's not a bad dent but just enough to **** me off, and it's on the beveled edge of the hub, so it's in a funky spot. Are there any recommendations as to how I could get this out without paying an arm and a leg for it??

funny the same thing happened to me but i know the fleet manager where i got my mustang very well and he wrote it off as lot damage so i could get it fixed for free.....hope it get's done right

Hey LIVNBIG. Where did you go to get the sunroof installed? And, if I may ask, how much did it cost??

Yeah, it can wait till I get some money saved up. The paint isn't scratched and the rubber coating on the backside isn't coming off so I won't worry about rust or anything for a month or two...It just sucks though, I can FEEL it there, like an old piece of glass in your foot, makes me wince every once in a while.

Hey Gizzmo..I had Mr. Sunroof do it here in the California, Bay Area!! $850 total and it has a LifeTime Warranty against leaks! The guy did a great job!!
I know what you mean about feeling that dent there, I have had that happen on past cars..killed me too!!

Sorry to hear it... I guess the butt wipe didn't bother to leave contact info.
Mine had three scratches/dents when I went to pick it up. So far
I'm too excited to care but soon or later it'll start eating at me and I'll
leave it for a day or so.

Yea, my parking garage valet scraped up my bumper on a wall. Had to go through a whole claim process to get it sorted. And have a few dings from parking lots. Sucks, but what can you do.

I feel for ya... I've had my car dinged twice. The first, they were already gone. The second, I waited...and waited. And their insurance paid for it! Sounds like your ding is in a bad spot... paintless dent repair probably wouldn't be an option.

I have a dent in the same area. It looks like a bitch to get fixed since there is a gap between the outside of the car and the inner wall.
