if you put the bondo on it first and then seal and paint ityou should be alright.then you need to wax the hell out of it so your mold don't stick to the plug.same as you do when you make the actual part, you must wax and gelcoat the mold so the part comes out.you want the gelcoat to stick to the part ,not the mold.JD PHILLIPS i also told him not to ,but it doesn't mean i won't help him if he's got the ***** to try it.if he gave up easily then he SHOULDN'T have been trying it.that make any sence?

I have now rounded off the edges a bit, I also put the bondo on as well. I need to put more bondo on still as it eats the styrofoam a little bit, so you have to build it up. I am heading home so for winter break for 4 weeks, and will apply the rest of the bondo there. Not sure how much sanding I will get done there, since I dont have a random orbital sander. I will post pics once I finish with the bondo. I will get back to sanding once I am back at school and able to my machine shop in the Engineering Dept. Once the plug is made I think things will come together more quickly than they appear to be coming now. Thanks for all your guys' help.
