Is this CAI and Tune worth it?

C&L STREET AIR INTAKE (http://www.cnlperformance.com/2005GT.html) FEATURES: High Flow Cast Aluminum Inlet, CNC machined 83mm MAF housing with MAF meter, High flow washable air filter(needs to be serviced), Plastic Heat Shield. DiabloSport Predator U7140: 2005-2006 Ford Mustang. The price new for the CAI and tuner was $729. It will also include 3 custom tunes from BAMACHIPS.COM(115). The tunes are 93 Race, 93 Torque and 87 Performance. Has you can see I have over 800 dollars invested in this. I removed it when I installed my supercharger. The air filter could use a cleaning. The parts have about 9000 miles on them.

He is selling it for $500.00 what do you guys think? Should I just get a new one?

ANY of the better CAI's (including the C&L's) with either a BAM or Brenspeed tune are worth it. Since the tuner is used it would have to be unlocked (returned to stock) by the previous owner. Also, the tunes from the previous owner will NOT work on your car. You'll need new tunes from Bama. $500 is a good deal IF it includes tunes for your car.

Since your sig looks like it is a Pony model, I don't think that one will fit. As far as I know the C&L Street model is only for the V8 so it won't connect to the V6 throttle body.

C&L is a great product though, I had one before I went F/I and with the tune it is a vast improvement over stock. Just make sure if you buy it used that you get one for the V6.

I contacted the seller and it is for a V8.

I just found out this shop is 5 minutes from me. What do you guys think of this CAI & Tune package deal?

Some friends had the JLT intake and they really liked it, I don't know anything about their tunes but they have to be better than stock as far as performance.

The best part is the shop is located not far from me.
I know this question has been asked probably, but when you guys put a CAI/Tune did you notice any difference in your mileage? I would think it should be better since the engine is getting a better source for air as long as you keep your foot out of the accelerator.
