Default 2006 4.0L V6 5speed to 6speed swap

Hey, I was wondering how difficult it is to do a 6 speed swap, and if anyone could point me in the direction of where I can buy the stuff to do a 6 speed swap.

Thank you.

when all is said and done, you'd be better off selling your stang and pickin up the new 2011 V6.

Get a two speed axle ForTheWin.
Or buy a GT500 to get the 6 speed.
Its just not worth it.
Computerized and such.
Search '5 speed to 6 speed' and read the posts about it.

I would be wantin to get a rear sway bar under there before a Tranny Swap.

Like they said above, you would be better off buying a used GT500 or wait until the 2011 V6 comes out. The cost difference and labor would be about the same. With the 2011 you would have a new factory warranty to boot.

Default Hey

Fair enough, I appreciate the info, and I have been researching 13 to 14 hours a day, everyday for the last 2 weeks on what I'm going to do to my mustang. Body kit, wheels, supercharger, cry02 kit, nos kit, anything and everything I would or could potentially do, and I have a friend that bought a 2007 gt500 yesterday, and has the 6speed, so I thought, maybe I can just do a swap on my mustang into a 6speed.

I second what he said! Nice Pony actually developed the adapter and quite fankly is an expert on it. There are more and more doing that very swap but yes it's expensive....
