in 4th gear (OD off) my car sits at 3000 rpm.

I recently had to load the stock tune and airbox for inspection and expected my car to feel like a dog in stock form with gears only (I got the gears after the CAI and tune).

I was surprised ... the car was still peppy. I could tell I wasn't running with the bama tune and CAI.. but the 3.73's were still very noticeable.

If you can afford it.. taller gears with a locking differential make a huge difference.

Don't forget a bearing install kit too - I just decided to buy the stuff and bring it to a shop, not even thinking about whether or not they would warranty the work - they did.

Gears (ring and pinion), install kit (bearings, seals, shims, crush washer, ring gear bolts), t-lok (optional or other lsd - but worth it!)

Have fun!!!

Sandman, your ride looks perfect. That look is where I'm headed for, clean with a few goodies. Geez, why didn't I know you could just remove the side stripes on a pony package!!! Nice job!
