Default Comparing Superchargers for the 4.0

So I am a big fan of the X Charger because of all the low end torque and how it gets into boost as low as 1800 RPM but what are the RPMs on the Procharger and Vortech? I know they put out more pwer overall because of the coolers but at what RPMs can you really feel them?

From what I have heard the centri blowers will start making power at around 2600-3200 ish
the main advantage to the centri blower is it's efficiency and operating temps .... Not to mention the insane top end power gains once under full boost .
Here's my opinion:
if u like whine and don't mind not making as much power but just love that initial torque and blower whine go for the x
if u like whistle and blowoff sounds and wanna make serious power relativley speaking go for the centri blower of ur choice
just remember that the procharger operates closer to ambient temps right out of the box
just my .02

oh And I don't have personal experience with the 4.0 but I rode in a v8 with a procharger on 11 pounds and started to really feel the power at around 4500 and it just got more intense until the redline !

Get more opinions from people who actually have experience with boosted 4.0's
Keep in mind that the X intercooler is being released Feb 01 10, with the IC it will be very close to the output of the centri's at similar boost. The main difference will be the centri's will be capable of more boost, which may not be a good idea if you want to keep your motor for the long term.

Question

Is feb 1st a firm date? I am looking at getting a X-Charger Hi-Po Plus at the end of the month... but if the intercooler will be available on the 1st then I'll just order it all together... lol... and on that note... where is the best place to order an X-Charger?

im pretty sure youll reach full boost on the centris by at least 3k. thats the whole point of a supercharger is bc you get full boost so much quicker.

Feb 1 should be good. I spoke to Dave last week (when I placed my order for the Xtreme) and he was pretty confident they'd start shipping in early Feb.

Would 4.10s be too much with a vortech? Should I go 3.73s if I want a vortech?

With a centri, you'll 'feel' power at lower rpms as well. But the most power is produced at the higher rpm range. WHen you give it gas and you spin the wheels from a stop, you're producing power! When you give it gas to pass someone and she flies, you feel it, too (and smile).
Dont be fooled into thinking the centri's only produce power at high rpms, that's simply not true. But their PEAK BOOST levels are at the higher rpms.
