Hi Everyone I'm new here to this forum,

I have a 2005 touch red mustang V6 and I'm buying white racing stripes for it. I wanted to resemble the new 2010 Shelby mustang racing stripes but I need the dimensions for them. So I'm asking does anyone possible know the dimensions of the stripes? Or another option I was considering was either painting them 10" or 12" with a 1 1/2" space between the two. What are your opinions?

Are you going vinyl or painted? I wouldn't recommend vinyl for stripes unless they're on the side like rocker panel stripes. They will fade and crack over time from the sun exposure. Painted is more expensive but worth it IMO.

Best way to find out the dimensions of the Shelby stripe is to ask a Shelby owner with stripes.

Definitely paint, it's the only way stripes should be done, otherwise it only takes about a year for them to fade even if they're garage kept, and they start cracking after 2.

I do agree that painting them will last a lot longer than vinyl. However, if you choose a vinyl color like white and keep your Mustang in the garage a lot, it will hold up longer than if sitting outside baking in the hot sun. If you must go with vinyl, at least get a coat of clear sprayed on top of your hood.
