well, cheapest is probably some mufflers, but thats not much of a HP gain... next would be a CAI/tuner, nitrous and then a s/c.

I would first start by reading a ton of information posted on these forums. That will help you get a head of the game.

Then, I would make a wishlist, because once you start modding, it will grow and grow With a list you will make wise decisions and not buy something and then have to replace it because it won't work with a future mod..

A good way to start is with exhaust, then a CAI/Tune...

And remember, you get what you pay for... sometimes it makes sense to spend a little more...

I recommend the FRPP dual exhaust kit (more expensive, but great quality)

As far as CAI/Tuner.. I say Brenspeed or Bamachips, there is also Alt. Auto and Evo Perf.

A CAI and Tuner sets the stage for future mods since even gears need a tuner to change the gear ratio in the computer and thus maintain the accuracy of your speedo.

Here's my list of recommended upgrades in order of priority.
CAI+Tuner - Adds HP and TQ
Rear Gears - Doesn't "add" anything but makes more efficient use of what you do have
Aluminum driveshaft - Same as above
Uderdrive pulley's - Same as above (Be cautious though if you have a high end stereo as this could present charging issues from teh alternator)
Long Tube Headers (where you would then do the dual exhaust) - Adds some HP and TQ
After that, you talking about cams or FI.

Another company that offers a CAI and Tuner combo is JLT....not a bad price either;

OP, take the topics from the members above and do a search on this forum. You would be amazed at the info you will get from reading past threads. Then ask whatever questions you will have, there will always be questions no matter how much you read.

Where in WI are you? I am in the Madison area.

I got mine converted to true duals and the guy charged me 100 for everything. Of course the mufflers were originally 500 new but i bought them from someone on here for 250 shipped. So i paid 350 for true duals and steeda axle backs. when i start me car in the morning i wake the whole neighborhood.

sorry for double posting but just keep an eye in the classifieds on here and you will find some great deals. Got my BBK CAI for like 125 shipped and i saw a BBK throttle body that new is close to 300 but it went for 90 on here but it was up for like 10minutes before it sold.

With the 05 you can do the heated throttle body delete. Its free so why not right. But yeah exhaust and a CAI/tune combo are great first mods. I would recommend looking at places like brenspeed or VMP to pick one of those combos up.
