Default Bbk cai

I can get a BBK cai for $100 (+$15 S&H). It's one that requires NO-Tune. Is it worth it to get it ? Will I notice Any difference since it doesn't require a tune? I can't afford the cai+tune package now but if this is a good deal for a temporary fix to me not affording the whole package? If I sell it later I'm sure it won't drop in price too much will it? It IS USED and has a couple minor scuffs or scratches

Only for looks, no improvements. Will drop in price, don't bother.

The tune makes the difference. Personally I would skip it and get a CAI/Tune combo. You do not get the advertised gains without a tune, and you will throw a light without a tune. Check out Brenspeed. If I could go back in time, I would of gone with a different brand and with a tune right away.

Some cars will still throw a code with a non-tune required CAI. Some don't.

A stand alone CAI will net you about 3-5 RWHP; barely noticeable if it all. With a tune, that CAI probably won't perform quite as well as a tune-required CAI. A good CAI & tune combo will net 15-25 RWHP, depending on a few factors. Also, the tune is the most critical of the 2. Be sure to buy the tune from any of the better shops.

Does it run any different? Or it just has a check engine light?
