so what would be ideal? for an all around tire... sorry i am super super new to tires.... i dont know what all the numbers mean, all i know is the last two numbers on the end is your rim size.... can someone educate me?

Here is an example: 235/55r17
235 = width of tire
55 = profile of tire (how tall the sidewalls are)
17 = the size of the rim you have.
Our stock tire diameter for our cars is 27 inches. You should try and aim to get a tire within about an inch of that size.

the first number of the tire...is it's width in mm
the second is a percent of the first so say you have 255/35's that means that the sidewall will be 35 percent of the width of the tire....45 will be too much tire....40 may be pushing it.....idealy u want 255/35/20's
