Ok I know another question about tuners. Well the reason I am asking about this is the local guy here who dyno tunes mustangs prefers to use the diablo sport predator tuner. I was looking at getting an xcal3 after reading the reviews here. He told me he would prefer if I wanted to get it dyno tuned on his dyno that I get the predator. I don't have the money to do both right now, that is get a tuner and get the car dyno'd locally. what is the real difference? thanks

Are diablo units still serial not usb like sct? if so that's the only negative I could think of, it just means u need a usb to serial adapter to load tunes on the unit.

Yes they are serial, but not a big deal, what's a serialusb adapter $20? I have an sct, but this thread got me curious. The diablo manual says something about being able to mod the stock tune. U can't do that with an sct afaik. I'd like that option, for example if I just wanted stock tune with a different axle ratio..
