How much would it cost to bore out that much? Who could do it? I don't trust any shops near me.

There's another thread talking about boring out the engine. Some were saying that it was nearly impossible because of the thickness of the walls. How is it going for you by the way? I'm curious about the dyno results by the way . Are you able to squeez out a lot of horses by boring out an engine?
Thanks

30 thousands is NOT going to add major HP. It will add about 4 cubic inches and maybe a few HP. Not worth the money unless the engine is worn out and needs a rebuild.

I have been wanting to do gears but too expensive for a non-project car. whats the 0-60 on a CAI + 4.10s V6 vs CAI V6 with stock gears?

My 06 runs 0-60 at about 5.7 seconds and thats just with a syntec dual exhaust system, T6 aluminum intake, beginning stages of wieght reduction, and better spark plugs. Minor mods seem to make big differences with S197's.

actually in 2007 the stock gt wasnt very fast. It didnt have a very good fuel system or exhaust. And actually the gen before it was fast stock. Ao if you have a modded out v6 going against a stock gt of those years bother drivers can drive itll beat a stock gt. The record on a natural aspirated engine for the 4.0 is like 11.2 . I know guys that bore em out to get more CCs. But a modded out v8 will beat obviously a nodded 4.0 . But also you gotta realoze TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CLASSES. Hint price range differential. A lot of people pull off the eaton super charger pff the 98 Thunderbird and get a kit pit it on their mustang and ill tell you now ive seen em in person and they are fast little cars. Ive seen em at 500/600 hp. That will s.oke any stock gt of that same GEN. Money guaranteed. Lastly most dudes change out different gearing or procharge their v6 which is way cheaper than doing it on a v8 quick way to gain 400 +another way to beat a stock or even modded v8 of that same GEN.
you are right obviously stock vs stock wont win. But you start boosting any car and youll be surprised.
most people who get v6 cant afford the v8 or cant afford the gas plus mod it out. Simple. But the new v6 of any newer muscle car will beat the GEN of gt. I think personally that ford had a bad few years . Because after that year they gained over 120 hp to the gt. Where it shouve been. Ive also seen built gt of the GEN pushing 1000 hp twin turbo or whipple supercharged. In my area Subaru owners are the worst . They only push to the wheels like 275 anything above 350 to the wheels drive line literally snaps . But those guys think they are driving a GTR or a shelby mustang. West coast they think they're gods. Even tho ive kept up with some and i barely have anything done. Thats more of the class the v6 is in not a comparison against the gt its stupid and most people expect youngins that wish they had telhe flgt make that arguement. End of story
