Default Buzzer buzzes when drivers door is open....

2006 v6 Pony, It seems now every time I open the drivers door, even without the key in the ignition, the darn buzzer buzzes constantly, drives me nuts. Does anyone know why this does this and how to make it stop? It has just started doing this recently.

Try shaking the key in the ignition. That happened to me before. I have an 06 v6 pp. Something in the ignition didn't spring back into position as the key was removed. Kinda shaking or jiggaling the key while its in the ignition got it fixed. I could hear it click when it fell back into position. Hasn't done it since.

Sounds crazy, but worth a try. If it works for you, its a cheap fix, just send me a check.

Happens to mine ALL the time. A little shot of WD-40 into it and the noise stops for several months. Like JohnsPony says, it's something inside not "springing" back into place once the key is removed.

iTS THE KEY INSERTED SWITCH.
iTS STICKING.
lUBRICATE WITH DRY GRAPHITE, NOT THAT CRAPPY
GOOD FOR NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WD-40.
fricken caps lock
wd-40 attracts dirt and you ignition lock will
not work correctly soon enough.
wd-40 belongs in the trash can, not the shelf in the garage...
