Stiff auto shifter

Default Stiff auto shifter
05, V6 with 50K plus miles - suddenly the shifter has become very stiff. this is not just Park to Reverse, but all through the range of motion. Where to start?

Make sure something didn't fall down inside your shifter.

Make sure nothing is lodged under the car near the linkage.

Pull console out and visually inspect the shifter...

Upgrade to a TCI ratchet shifter
