Default 05 stang O2 sensor question

I recently had a check engine light come on. The code came back to a faulty sensor 1 bank 1. I replaced the sensor, had the code reset, drove over 100 miles and the light came back on as well as a code for faulty sensor. I again replaced the sensor (thinking the first one was bad) and have the same problems. I was told it could be the wiring or the computer. Has anyone had similiar problems, maybe it's an inherent problem? If it is a bad computer, I would think it would affect more than one sensor.

First of all welcome to the forums.
Second, have you noticed any problems in the foot wells or carpet areas being wet? Especially if you drive your car on rainy days, check the carpet to see if it feels damp. You can pull up the corner and feel behind it too. Ford knows about a leak problem that can occur in many Mustangs. They tried to keep the Smart Junction Box (located on the passengers side) from getting moisture in it by adding a foam piece in 2007.
It is possible that water has gotten into that box which causes all kinds of havoc in your electrical system. Let's hope that is not your case.

Second of all, make that first if all, the SJB does not control
the engine managment systems. So a wet SJB is not the problem here.
Pull the code and give us the DTC and we can go from there
instead of guessing like the ones who are currently giving you
the guessing game info....
