But over the past couple days, I've been reading over some other forum discussions about how if you're getting a CAI for a V6, you're really just paying for the brand name, that "eBay" CAIs (that are a fraction of the price of name brands) are just as good. Any credibility to this? Because if so, I'd consider looking around eBay sellers instead of name brand.
Obviously not lol
or you would know all of the information posted above

Keep in mind the OP was researching CAI's not CAI's/Tune combo's. Give him some slack

Welcome to MF Lorenzo...

As mentioned above, wait for the a CAI/Tune combo, and try and get one from Bamacustomtuning.com, brenspeed, evo, etc.

Default VMP

VMP has one of the best deals out there with their Power Package @ $449. It reuses your existing intake tube to keep the cost down. Not as pretty as the aftermarket pieces but just as effective as its probably 95% all about the custom tune.

The FRPP CAI & tune is a good looking CAI but the tune is timid compared to those from Brenspeed, Bama/AM, Tillman and a few others. If you wear a skirt and worry about warranty get the FRPP. If you have nutz and don't mind getting in the Service Managers face if needed, get one of the others.

My Airaid CAI does not require a tune and never caused me any issues with codes or anything. When I go to sale my V6 stang and get a V8, I can change the tune back to stock and keep the SCT X3 tuner for my newer car. I won't have to worry about putting the stock airbox back on. =-)

I vote for the cai/tune combo. Just like everybody else said, save up and get a good one.
