help choosing new exhaust
well, i want a new muffler. Keeping the single so price can stay low.
I do NOT want bad highway drone, but want acceleration to be noticeably louder. The more like a mustang and less like a ricer the better.
I am trying to keep it under 200.00, can i install my self easily?

If you want to stay with the single the Flowmaster American Thunder is nice. I had one before I switched to duals. Doesn't really drone and sounds really nice while accelerating. Plus it's designed specifically for our cars so it's an easy switch.

Install is easy, takes hardly any time at all. Here's the instructions, they'll explain better than I can.

i bought the muffler at the above link... it is only good for 05-09... the tip is about 3-4" too short and i am afraid that it will melt the plastic around the exhaust outlet as it will be about 1' behind it...
I looked into cutting the tip off and welding on another piece... not enough metal to do it... there is only 1/4" before the weld for the tip starts... so i got an RMA number to send it back...
still can't find any mufflers made for just a 2010 for sale..

I have a Pypes Streetpro Axleback single exhaust. It sounds decent, however it has a little drone. I really like the SLP single exhaust!
I am not sure if they sale those for your 2010 model.
Good luck!

well americanmuscle.com was awesome, and i got a refund on the flowmaster, very smooth transaction... so i will buy from them again...
I got to wondering if i could just buy a generic muffler
http://www.americanmuscle.com/flowma...s-muffler.html
and take it to a shop, reuse my stock tip, and just have them move some brackets and put a 45 or what ever is needed onto it... that way i shouldnt be much over 200 again...
unless there is a better option for the 2010's... maybe once the 2011's come out the aftermarket will jump on it?
