Give up and go ahead and buy a GT with a V8 in it.
The electronics will eat you alive during the 'swap'...
Maybe back in the 70s could it be done in a day
by a wrench turner, but nowdays with the
newfangled electronic control systems, you
might as well trade her in for a GT with a V8.

Yeah, it's not very easy. The electronic aspects alone would be tough. It's probably a lot cheaper and easier to either trade it for a GT or throw a supercharger on it. But if you're really set on doing it, I think there's a few people that have done it over on the collective. I would think you'd also need a new ECU, motor mounts, transmission, brakes, etc if your gonna do it right

Just trade it in.

The people that are capable of pulling off the V8 swap pretty much don't need to ask how to do it.

+1 billion!

It is one thing to ask specifics, but swapping an engine is not like "here is your list go", things will break, things will change and you need to know what to do while the engine is floating off the engine puller.
