they are a truck/jeep gear not a mustang gear. Your tranny is not setup for that gear at all. just get 410s and be done with it

4.88 lol umm...you'd be back to a 4 speed mustang with that and as stated, top out around 90-100

i think 4.88's are an option for short track racing... in other words, for "specific" applications, not ideal for regular street use.

They aren't for this type of application.

Trucks/ORVs are more likely to have 4.88s. Some people think that the higher the gear, the faster you will go.

I cant imagine 4.88s in a mustang, but I do have them in my vipertruck. One of the best mods I have done to it to. Came stock with 4.11s. Horrible gear for that truck, lost the clutch at 3k miles.

I was talking with some guys at work and they said our F450s probably have 4.88s.
