Wow, lots of useful information, thanks.

I'll have the dealer do the copy and keep searching for an aftermarket plug.

tHE owners manual EXPLAINS IT ALL.
fricken caps lock.

Key Programming:

If you want to add a key....
**You must have two original keys to perform this procedure. If you only have one key, you WILL have to take it to the dealer to get it programmed**
1. Insert and existing (working) key into the ignition cylinder.
2. Turn the ignition cylinder ON (RUN) and back to OFF. Ignition should stay on for at least ONE SECOND.
3. Remove the existing key and, within TEN seconds, insert a second working key and turn it to ON (RUN) and the back OFF. Ignition must be in ON for at least ONE second, but no more than TEN seconds. Remove the key.
4. Insert the new key before TWENTY seconds have elapsed and turn it to ON (RUN). Leave it the ON position for at least ONE second and turn back to OFF.
5. The security light will light up for THREE seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.
6. To program additional keys, repeat steps 1 through 5

Remote Programming:

How to reprogram your remote entry transmitters
You must have all remote entry transmitters (maximum of six)
available before beginning this procedure.

Note: Ensure the brake pedal is not
depressed during this sequence.

To reprogram the remote entry
transmitters:

1. Ensure the vehicle is electronically unlocked.

2. Put the key in the ignition.

3. Cycle eight times rapidly (within 10 seconds) between the 1
(OFF/LOCK) position and 3 (ON). (Full cycles, meaning go back AND
forth 8 times for a total of 16 turns of the key.)

Note: The eighth turn must end in the 3 (ON) position. The doors will
lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming mode has been
activated.

4. Within 20 seconds press any button on the remote entry transmitter.
Note: If more than 20 seconds have passed you will need to start the
procedure over again. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that
this remote entry transmitter has been programmed.

5. Repeat Step 4 to program each additional remote entry transmitter.

6. Turn the ignition to the 1 (OFF/LOCK) position after you have
finished programming all of the remote entry transmitters. Note: After
20 seconds, you will automatically exit the programming mode. The
doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming mode has
been exited.

pretty sure that if anyone were to search "friggin caps lock" on this forum, they would ONLY come up with replies from 157db..

Buy a new keyboard and make sure not to spill so much beer on the CAPS key

offroad4x4,

I also forgot to say you might want to think about getting more keys made.

when you have two keys you can program more. After you get one made the expensive way check out this link it will help you program more.

157db and SLCustomsGTCS thanks for the advice on the keys. We have an appointment for Saturday to do an extra key at the dealership and then I"ll buy an extra key and program it myself.

Oddysey and others: We parked the Mustang in the garage while my daughter was in her room doing homework. Then I went to her room and asked her to help me take the wife's car out of the garage to park mine inside. So she was walking ahead of me and when she entered garage she saw her surprise. She stayed in shock silent for about 2 seconds, then she screamed like she has seen a ghost and went running back in the house, then again to the garage (I guess to make sure it was real) and started screaming, "Oh my god! Oh my god! I don't believe it" and tears started cumming out, etc.

Here are a few pics we took after she recovered her breath...

I have a macro somewhere that locks the caps unintentionally.
Thanks guys at Best Buys.
I have no control over it.
I cannot Dominate my keyboard...

Awesome gift, nice job!!! I had no time to ask questions but I saw a sign at ace hardware that they can now program electronic keys but I'm not sure of cost/capability. You are covering it already by going to the dealer, but thought I would mention it here for future reference.
157 you dominate with 197 knowlege, so we can deal with minor keyboard issues...

Ace cannot program S197s electronic PCM.
Otherwise the PATS system could be defeated by
any criminal working at Ace....
Dealership programming if you have only one key.... Period.

BrandMotion makes a nice adapter for the Shaker stereo.
www.mossmustang.com sells them for your stangs stereo.
Stay away from the iSimple adapters. from Best Cry.

6 CDs for the shaker but dont put burned CDs into it as they
tend to delaminate from the vehicles interior heat levels and
get stuck in the player forever...

Store bought CDs only....

Went to the dealer yesterday to do the extra key. One thing, if you have to go to the dealer for an extra key, make two. The second one costs only $26.00.
