Default 2010 V6 Mustang Stripes

I currently want to add stripes onto my new 2010 Mustang. How do I get them? Can I get them through the dealership? Will they also install it? If not, can I just install them? How difficult is it to do?
I am still not sure if I want to put the single or dual stripes.
And I am not sure if I want to put white or silver.
What do you guys think?

Someone here recently did a single wide stripe that went about 3/4s of the way down the hood, I thought it looked bad a$$ on the new bodystyle. Gotta find the pics of that ride. It would be my choice if I had a 2010+, but if you want stripes that run the full length of the hood maybe the dual stripe is better.
I'd probably go white, just my .02cents.

Dealerships can do the factory kits. I don't know if they would do a custom deal or not. Depends on the dealership I suppose. Another good source for getting stripes put on, believe it or not, is sign shops. Call a few local ones before deciding on the dealership, you may save some cash and get a better job done.

And yeah you can get 'em painted if you like. Not sure what you mean by "what's the difference?" One is vinyl and one is paint, hehe.

There is a variety of options to handle what you are looking for. If there is a good hot rod / body shop in your area they can probably paint the stripes on if you want that. It will be expensive but if done properly it looks really good. The Ford dealer can add stripes if you want them to. They can add both the rocker stripe or over the top stripes and I believe they actually put a clear coat over them to seal them in and it makes them look better as well. Also, there is a crap load of aftermarket stripe and decal kits. For instance

As for doing it yourself, I wouldn't reccomend it unless you have a shop and some experience. You don't want your stripes to be crooked. lol

Yeah, I think I am going to stop by the Ford dealership and talk to them and see what they can do.

Painted stripes are a lot more expensive compared to the vinyl. AmericanMuscle.com sells the vinyl stripes and they offer different width sizes. As mentioned above, you can also check with a local sign shop and get prices on vinyl (10 year wear). I prefer silver on a black Mustang. In the near future, I am planning on purchasing the silver vinyl from a sign shop and have my brother assist me with the installation, since he use to work for a sign shop and installed vinyl. Good luck and keep us posted!

I went to the dealership yesterday and they told me it would cost $570 just for the stripes and than another $550 for instillation. WOW
I need to find another cheaper method, any ideas?

Thats retarded. Call a sign shop that does vehicle wraps/advertising (basically just make sure they have vehicle experience). I bet you'll pay half that.
