The GT muff is causing the resonances because
it lacks the vibration dampeners the V6 muff has.

That's what the dealer said. I've ran the gt take off for more than a year, and my louder pypes muffler for a year with now resonance issues. Once they took off those isolators I got the vibration issue.

i wouldnt let this scare you away
this seems to be a pretty extreme case of dealership douchebaggery
i mean this is the 1st ive heard of a car being "affected" by an exhaust as far as a dealership is concerned
its a lot of bad luck and i hope it works out alright avalanche. did that thread someone linked you help?

I've had my duals on since '07 without vibration issues. So don't let this scare you. I bet 98% that have had the conversion will say, they have had no problems.

I have a take-off on mine and dont notice any unwanted vibrations from the GT take-off muff.
Is yours a MT or an auto take-off?

Sorry, I went back and reread the first long post.
You need to do some advertising for that dealership.
It worked wonders for me.
