Default GT500 Suspension on a V6, has it been done?

So I have the opportunity to get a GT500 suspension for dirt cheap.....anyone know if it will bolt up to my 2005 V6 Mustang? Including struts and shocks....would it make my mustang sit differently since its on a gt500 or anything?

Very curious if anyone has done it.

let me know.

Thanks,

- Jonathan

Yes, it will bolt up, but it's designed for the extra weight of the 5.4L engine. Your car will likely sit a bit high in the front, and the handling will be affected.

+1

The only thing that would be of any use to you in regards to suspension components would probably just be the sway bars...

I have the GT500 rear sway bar on mine. I still haven't installed the front one yet.

Also, the '07-'09 GT500 suspension isn't all that great even on a GT500, just go to any Shelby board. The major two topics are bigger/more efficient blowers and suspension upgrades.

The GT500 suspension components on a V6 is highly over rated.
