Default H-pipe GT on V6

Hi,
a company in Germany installed a bad exhaust system on my 05 v6. (selfmade by them, no experience)

These guys cutted my Y-Pipe so i can't buy a JBA H-Pipe because the tubes are too short. (I want a H-pipe not a X-Pipe)

So here is my question

Does the H-pipe (with cats) from the 05 GT fits on the 05 V6 ?

Thanks a lot !

Steve

If you were close, I'd sell you the GT h-pipe I have, as I'm no longer using it. It still has the GT cats on, lol, so it's rather large to ship.

Cutting one off and attaching to the v6 stock 2.25" pipe is a great option.

thx for your offer ... in Germany it's very difficult to buy parts for the mustang ... to ship one part over the big pond would cost too much :-(

But do i have to attach the GT H-Pipe to the V6 stock pipes or can i just bolt it to the manifold ? (So i can use the cats and don't have to euthanize them ?)

You'll have to keep the stock V6 cats. Splice into the piping under the car.
The 2.5" GT pipe will slide over the 2.25" pipe. A coupler/clamps can be used to seal it up, or better is to weld the pipes together.
Then the mid-pipes simply clamp up to the H, and back will be like a normal GT exhaust.

after the Y, the V6 is 2.5" out right? Or, if you kept one half of the pipe would you end up with a 2.25 and 2.5 on the left?

That is awesome. I'm wondering if I can get shorty headers with a 2.5" collector/flange and put a full GT system on it. Would that be worth it or should I just go the normal route and stick with 2.25" to 2.5" after acts?
