Default need new tires

hey u guys.

well basically im in need for new tires. and i found a craigslist ad selling 2 X 255/40R17 Falken for 100 dollars. looks lik a good deal. im wondering if this would work on my rim. i got a stock 17inch rim. GT/V6 pp watever it is. wat do u guys use on 17inch rims? and also 18inch as well

or give me a list of tire sizes will work for our S197. cuz 235/55R17 is really uncommon tires these days for cars

Which 17" do you have?
17" x 8" or 17" x 9" ?
Recommended for 17X8 is the 235/55
Recommended for 17x9 is the 255/ 50

I highly recommend the Nitto NT05 tire. They are a bit expensive but there is no better upgrade for any car then a great set of rubbers. They are the only thing part of the car that touches the ground and are responsible for turning and putting power to the ground and stopping! Do not skimp on tires, I would not buy tires from random places because you don't know how old they are. Tire age plays a large role in tire performance.

I like my Nitto 555's but with the economy in the tank If I had to buy again it would be MADE IN THE USA!

i dont reccomment buying used tires. esp if they are only 50 a pop. probably almost run dry. just get a set of new ones as the money invested is very much worth it.

they will last longer than a $100 set of used falkens for sure. used tires can be dangerous. you never know what youre actually getting.

Those are nice for about the 10,000 miles they last.
