we went out last week, the kids talked my wife into taking hers down the track...back at the staging lanes, said I would see them in a few, was going to get in line- shes like 'wait- I'm goin again, that was fun' shocked the heck out of me
I drove horrible only ran low 14's even with some new wider tires, but had a blast just watching her in the other lane. think she was the only one going down the track with a 2 yr old in a carseat- our 10 yr old was taping as she went, at the end as she slows down you here our 2 yr old say 'mommy GO'
think in the three runs she ran mid 16s at about 85, but had a good time...shes a mother of three, 10 yr cancer survivor, double bypass/pacemaker equipped 37 yr old mustang 1/4 miler...gotta love it

test and tune nights are a lot of fun, everyone should get out there once in a while. When my wife had her heart surgery a year and a half ago(heart damaged from radiation/chemo 10 yrs ago) my mom came to help with the baby, and before mom went back home to colorado she let my 65 yr old mom take her mustang down the track- Mom still talks about that- it was too funny, I told mom I'd give her a 2 second head start, figured it would be pretty close if I spun off the line, sure enough- she beat me by .070 seconds...mom had our oldest son with her that night said he was screaming 'go grandma go' when he saw me catching up...its just great with everyone healthy for sure, but test and tune nights with a couple mustangs is a treat for sure- great times

Ford4V429, that's one great story! A lot of us get wrapped up in numbers here and forget about the simple pleasures of driving and hanging out with those we love.

Great video! Thanks for sharing!

Do you have a custom tune with your Airaid CAI?

If not, I would highly suggest it! =-)

I had my Airaid CAI for about 4 months, until I purchased the SCT Xcal tuner with 3 custom tunes. The tune really woke her up and added some major HP!! I am thinking, you could possibly drop a second or 2 with a tune. =-)

cant wait for spring, the old marquis is a great winter beater, but sure miss the mustang over winter... heres some goofing around from last day of test/tune in 2012, the track was about empty, think we made 10 runs in like 15 minutes
