$180 is decent but the point is moot since they butchered that job.
You learned the hard way that dealers suck for the most part.
An exhaust shop maybe, could fit the bill?

your best bet is to look for someone who has a mandrel bender. around here theres very few, and it typically (but not always) means its a pretty decent shop.

100% Agree. Much more often than not the dealerships are staffed with a bunch of morons that I wouldn't let check the air in my tires. There will be a handful of guys at the deaerships that are great mechanics and know what they are doing. The odds are that these guys will never see your car. Sounds like you got the run of the mill moron. Alec is right, take your car to a custom exhaust shop. It might even run you a little bit more than 180 bucks but it will be worth it.

At least the 3 year old and the monkey don't charge too much for their work! This is why I plan on installing the true duals myself! And it helps to have a friend who has a lift in his garage!

You should take some detailed pics and if possible take pics of the installers and post in OT for them to flame haha. Good luck with your next try.

Before the dealers take too much of a beating (and there's already enough items to beat them up for) I just want to point out that the place he took his car is not a dealership.

It's a large mom and pop type general repair garage (as well as selling used cars and renting U-Haul equipment).

They were clearly out of their depth, as this is not exactly a rocket science type project.

I've got the NTO Gt dual kit sitting in the garage, waiting to put on. I talked to a local muffler guy, and he said he'd put it on for $65 an hour, and didn't think it would take more than about 1 1/2 hours. I keep wavering back and forth, between having him do it, and doing it myself. It's strictly my play car, so it wouldn't matter if it took me 2 or 3 days to get it done. I don't have a lift but got plenty of jack stands. I think the latest plan is to do it myself, and take my time. Then I plan on driving it 3 or 4 hundred miles, to make sure there's no rubs or rattles. If everything's okay, I've got a neighbor that will weld it all up for about $20. I'll keep you posted....

My bad then. Was reading too fast...
Still, exhaust shop!

Right Torch_Vert, these guys aren't dealers but they aren't exhaust specialists either. They do have a mandrel pipe bender and do a decent amount of exhaust work, what I was asking for was not exactly hard to do and I thought they could do it. Are you from the area Torch?
