Oh wow what are you even supposed to say to something like that? It looks like they were in a rush and didn't give a ****. That doesnt look like a pip bender was used but more like an ax! How did it sound atleast?

WOW... bad enough they eff'd up the job but the icing on the bowl of $h!t was what they told you afterwords. Make plans for your closest major city and get it done right!... hopefully!

BTW, i purchased the JBA h-pipe kit and a local shop charged me $100 for the install. very clean job and everything tack welded.

Thanks for the compliment Alec!
Redfire- at idle im not sure how to explain it, it was like a repeated silent fart... psst psst psst, like puffing Im not sure how else to explain it. Once you got on it, since the pipe hit the axle in some places and the body in others, it was like the car was falling apart.

I found a guy in Harrodsburg (25-30 Minutes from my house) that does a lot of the cars that go to Somernites Cruise from my area. That means he does an excellent job. He also looked at the mufflers that got butchered and said he will fix them. He said he has seen worse but I have a feeling that he was just saying that to make me feel better.

Well, good luck with the 2nd try.

I don't really care for dealerships either, but a guy I know works as a mechanic at a local Ford dealer. He really knows his s***. He personally has 3 mustangs, build to the hills and an exploder. He installed my duals for $50 at his house. (he has a lift) I would trust him with my car anytime. He is one of the few though!

Just because somebody sells or repairs for Ford, doesn't mean they know thier @ss hole from a hole in the ground. But there are the select few, when you find them, request thier work each time.

Dude that is ridiculous I bought my pipes off rock auto and installed my whole kit in my garage with a 2 ton floor jack and 2 jack stands. had it on for 5000 miles so far and love it. Clamped everything at first then took it in and a muffler shop welded everything for $25. This is a job you can do with hand tools if you have the required parts which can be purchases mandrel bent for $40 (midpipe). That hack job is unacceptable. I would bad mouth that shop no matter if it was my brother who owned it thats unacceptable work, if they did that to your car what are they doing to other cars in the community. People cut corners because they can!

By the pics (salt on car) you can see I did mine in the middle of a Michigan winter! we got 10 inches of snow the next day! haha.

That guy should be it.

Also, I agree with him...
I myself seen worse more than once and I even fixed Fred Malibu's hangers not long ago that looked just as bad as yours.
I had to re-do the welds properly and shoot some hi-temp silver over them for anti-corrosion.
Done.
