Hey, do any of you have any sound clips from your aftermarket exhausts on the v6? The only one I have heard is the JBA, from the JBA site. It sounded kind of like and old man coughing to me. Lots of popping noises and stuff, maybe it just sounds like that in the clip? Can anyone who actually has it tell me? How about the Magnaflow?

oh yes... idle is much deeper and louder.

There is a sound clip for the V6 on the magnaflow website.

Magnaflow's clip sounds like rice. Those who actually have it on their car, say it's nice and deep, not at all like the clip. JBA's clip on their website also doesn't sound anything like what I have on my car. I just don't think these guys know how to make a decent sound clip!

I agree, the Magnaflow sounds like rice, and the JBA sounds better, but somewhat like a raspy old man. I haven't heard any 05 clips that sound great, but from what I hear it sounds different in person? The idle of those flowmasters in that clip (the one recently posted of the 40 series) sounded promising,but he doesn't rev it much so I don't know.

I think all of the exhausts sound much, much better in person. Even with a decent clip, it doesn't capture the rumble. All of the exhausts available... JBA, Magnaflow, Ford Racing (Borla) Flowmaster, MAC, GT take-offs or whatever are going to be a really nice improvement over stock.

first of all we have v6's and no where near enough displacement to make as deep of a sound as the v8's make. i have the magnaflow axle back and its not 4cyl sounding at all. Rice, isnt every single import car guys!!!!! I just dont like the obnoxious groan aflowmaster series mufflker has. I think the magnaflow has more of a supercar sound if thats what you like

I actually had a custom exhaust built, they even built me an H-pipe. I went with 40 series flowmasters. It sounds great, kinda reminds me of the old 305 camaros. All I am waiting on now is a set of mac headers which should be here this week. Anyone have any info on horsepower gains with those headers?
