5.0 mag found that headers with a muffler added ~17hp/tq at the wheels. Since, i'm not going with dual exhaust right now, I am goign to do the headers. I'll post back on the difference that I feel. unfortunately no dyno numbers, too expensive to do pulls just for headers. But 5.0 mag has the numbers for it listed.

Are you sure those numbers are for the V6? The gains from most mods are proportionally less with the sixer than the GT. I would believe 17 hp/tg with a CAI and good tune, though. I'd agree with several of the others here that your money is best spent on a CAI, tune, H-pipe, and muffler. Headers just don't add enough bang for the buck.

yeah it was on a v6. The headers I can see adding a little tq but I am more interested in hp and sound. I know freer flowing headers will bump a few ponies and the sound should be better as well. at $100 I'm willing to try it out.

Here a link to the article:

I think there is much to be had with a better intake and a better tune than what these guys did in an afternoon with a lower intake.

In the end of course, mods won't respond as well as a v8 but every little pony counts for us.

I'm hoping to order the headers this week after I figure out the O2 sensors, i'll report back with how it feels as well as a video of before and after for sound.

Why not spend a little more and go long tubes? See my ceramic coated MAC longtube headers on here for sale, $325 shipped.
