Default Supporting mods for x-charger?

Hey guys. im new to the v6 scene. i used to have a cammed supercharged 98 GT and loved the sound. but now i traded it in for a 2010 5spd v6 stang. what supporting mods would i need for a super charger? i have a JLT combo CAI on the way along with a dual exhaust kit. anything else that i need to do before looking into a x-charger besides the tlok?s

Rather than a Tlok on your 7.5 rear end, just put on the 8.8 from a GT. Already has the Tlok and is stronger - and from personal experience, it will be cheaper in the long run.

You probably could have skipped the CAI if you're going with the X-Charger anytime soon (won't fit with the "X")

Here's a link with 8.8s with different gear ratios to choose from:
http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustang-28.aspx

And as far as how hard it is to install, I think it's one of those "if you have to ask, it's too hard" situations. Although it is supposed to be easier than just the gear install.

The 8.8 install is pretty straightforward. I did it by myself with the car on jackstands in my driveway.

I did a bunch of suspension stuff at the same time since I had it all apart.

Check out Jenna's "how-to" on Mustang Collective. That's the one I used.

Thanks stag. i looked it em up. there is a 05gt being parted out in my town. could i pull the rear end off that and just get the converter?
and thanks for the link mr.ugly. i know for a fact now i can do it. i have installed a turbo, supercharger, and suspension upgrades on numerous cars but i have never taken a whole rear end out. seems pretty straight forward.

i would say the most important mod would be to apply for an extra credit card! because once you install the x you will want all kinds of goodies! LOL
