Is this a good place to start?

unfortunatley that guy chose the 3 valve SOHC. he coulda gotten more power from a 4 valve DOHC. he took this from an F-150 truck. it can work, and has been done. you could try mustangcollective.com thats another forum, ALOT of V6's have done 4.6, and NUMBEROUS 5.4 swaps, theres even sticky threads to it. trust me, it can be done. personally i dont like mustang collective though cause not as many people post on it and its not as resposive as our mustang forum here. if your commited to this then do LOTS of research! i planned a 5.4 swap and had writeups and papers and lists of requirments, that i built up over about a 6 month period... then i decided to buy a 1970 challenger lol. but i know its achievable. and realistically, not much more cost wise then the 4.6, and with the 5.4 you can get an easy extra 100hp from the motor without goin forced induction.

You're barking up the wrong tree if you want to be able to beat 2011 gts with a typical blower on your stock engine. You'd need a strong turbo setup, and that would really risk the engine internals past about 375 hp.
Now as far as earlier gts, a simple blower does blow away a lot of them. But, you can only go so far until risking engine damage. And you'd better have a 8.8, too (yes it has a t-loc already in them).
FWIW, a blower on a V6 is an interesting novelty, but you wont beat 400+ hp cars.
Unless you build/forge a 4.0 motor, you can't push them that hard. And for that money, you're better off doing the same work to a V8, and go really big.
I looked into that route, and found it more cost effective (and more fun in the end!) to go with a V8.
Nonetheless, a good cai and CUSTOM (not mail-order) tune can nicely wake up an otherwise stock V6.

How else could this of happened. It's scary what's actually possible with this motor. I think a good question is will the GT500 parts fit it?

unfortunatley my knowledge on the navigators are limited. i wouldnt imagine that would be a good idea. chances are the driveshaft is going to be heavy compared to a mustang driveshaft. the rear axle would most likely have smaller gear which would limit the acceleration. and not 100% on the tranny either.

You'll still need a transmission, rear end, driveshaft, ecu... Pretty much a donor car is just good for a motor...
