Default Is True Duals this way Worth it?

I found a 300$ Pypes true dual for my 05' V6, if i get it, i cant install it myself because i cannot weld. If i were to get it,

1. How much roughly would it be to install?
2. Is PYPES a good company?
3. Will i get good power and sound?

If anyone has anyother suggestions....please....

Use the search funtion and search dual exhaust. You'll literally find 100's of threads and videos. There's tons in this thread alone-https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-0l...converson.html

Can't say how the pypes set up sounds myself.

Check out www.NewTakeOff.com that's where I got mine from, comes with everything you need to install and doesn't require welding of the pipes. The kit comes with clamps for all the connections. It is an easy install if you have the proper tools and if you have any mechanical ability. I got mine for $391 which included shipping. I still need to put up a video of mine so everyone can hear them, but they sound great!

1. Engineering answer: it depends. If you go to a muffler shop, probably a decent amount, a friend or mom and pop shop, not much at all. Then if you have the resources, i.e. a lift, doing it yourself won't cost a thing.

2. I think so. I have heard mixed reviews. But in my experience, (a dual exhaust conversion kit) they're great, really!

3. Power, well, seat of the pants, I felt a decent amount, surprised me actually. True numbers, I'm not sure. The sound is great. Now I switched the mufflers from the Street Pros to GT take offs which sound better I think. But the overall sound, oh yes. Really opened it up nicely

Bang-for-the-buck, I'd drop the $300 into a custom tune. It would probably yield 2-3 times the power of what little the exhaust work will yield.

Look for an SCT Tuner for a tune. American Muscle has great deals on free tunes for life and everything. The tune will, yes give you more power than switching the exhaust. But if you're looking for aesthetics and the sound of closer to a V8 at least, the exhaust will do that for ya

Chips are for eating. Tunes give you wood.

We reflash. Feel free to use the search feature regarding handheld tuners and custom tunes. A tune from AM or Brenspeed will provide much more power than going to duals. A good CAI & tune combo does even more.
