Default lowering...rear only??

I just upgraded to 20" rims and
now I hate to see gap in rear wheel well.(Front is acceptable)
Because I am lazy and don't have much time to work on my ride,
I'm thinking to lower it rear only, about an inch.
Is it ok to do rear only??

I found many rear only GT500 springs,
and I saw GT500 is about an inch lower than v6.
What will happen if I swap it with GT500 rear spring??
Some said GT500 is heavier than v6, so it will even raise the rear.
What's true??

How hard to swap it?
Do I have to remove shocks as well or just compress springs
then it will come off?

Yeah, I'd also like to lower only the back by about an inch. I'm not too concerned about gaining any benefit, but just for looks.

I am not sure if the car will drive properly with only lowering the back??? I do know if you decide to lower the front, a spring compressor will be needed for the front springs. In the near future, I am planning on lowering the fronts and backs. I've heard the back springs are real easy to change out.

Actually the compressor is needed to REMOVE the OEM springs.
The new springs can be compressed just enough by hand to
get the strut nut on. I have seen the use of a cutoff wheel
to remove the OEM spring in a pinch.

I did my rear only and its great.
Roush rear springs (for a GT, go figure).
$125 pair.
MossMuscle.
Get the matching shocks for whatever you put under there.
It will steer the same only the rear will be lowered.
My stang is level and not all 60s muscle car jacked up in the rear.
It changes the caster ever so slightly but the caster is unadjustable
anyhow so what do you do. The wheel hop has disappeared.

Avoid the GT500 springs on a V6 unless you are hualing a lot
of weight 100% of the time. Planning on running moonshine?

You dont need to remove the brakes like the MOTORZ guys do.
You jack her up, remove the lower shock mount bolt, tip
the axle one way to get that spring out and repeat on the
other side. The brake line brackets will have to be removed.
Then with your new one time use hardware from
Ford, reinstall the lower shock mounts and torque to proper
specs. If you dont replace the OEM shocks with the matching
Roush shocks, the valving is different at this new ride height
and ride quality will suffer and the OEM shocks will wear out faster...

FTW, idk about GT500 rear springs I would imagine it may make your rear higher since theyre made for a 700 pound heavier car.
