Default Finally going to see what a custom tune feels like.

I put my order in yesterday to American Muscle for an SCT Tuner.
I'm getting the 87 Street, 91 Street, and 91 Performance. I passed on the Race tune, since I don't plan on getting to a track or drag strip. Maybe I'll eventually get the Race tune, but I'll save that for later.

I want to start with the 87, but I know I'll end up with one of the 91's soon enough. Btw, they don't have 93 anywhere around here in SoCal.

Congrats man, I've been running a tune for a few months and can't believe I was ever stock

And you're right about the 93 octane, I've been in every SoCal county over the last couple months and I have yet to see a station with 93 octane

Interestingly, you'll notice a larger change between the stock 87 and custom 87 tunes than you will between the 87 custom and the 91 custom tunes.

Put my Ford Racing CAI and SCT tune in today. So far so good, but I'm only running the 87 street tune for now. I was really nervous about all the downloading, and reprogramming, but got through it okay. I knew this would be a major screw up, if I did something wrong. The biggest difference that I could see (haven't driven much yet) was the different shift points when I really go on it. I'm guess this will be the best upgrade yet.

I have heard good things about these tunes, from friends with v6's (4.0's) I still am stock except wheels tires and exhaust, challenged one to a race but hasn't happened yet, he thinks its a drivers race!

So you got a new tune+ CAI ands you haven't really driven yet? I would blow a whole tank of gas messing around with it! Get out there and run it!
