Default Installed: K-brace w/tq limiters

So I decided to pick up a K-member brace with some torque limiters because of the relatively low cost and good reviews I have heard.

Install was pretty easy because I used a friends lift...Make sure you let the car cool down, it will make the job a lot easier. Other than that just follow the instructions.

The first thing I noticed is that my car did not have a factory K-member brace. According to the instructions, some cars come with it and some do not. I thought it was a GT thing, but one of my friends did not have one on his GT either. What determines if the car comes with one or not??

Driving the car is like 10 times better now. Cornering and steering response is greatly improved. For the longest time I could not figure out why my car felt so much different compared to some of my friends GT's I drove. Now I finally know why. These cars need a K-member brace. If you don't have one, get one! I used to fall out of my seat when turning at high speeds even with the GT sways, now the car sits flat until the rear end kicks out allowing for some pretty fun sliding around turns with greater control.

The torque limiters help put the power to the ground better because the engine and trans do not move as much with heavy throttle application (like having better engine mounts). The car does not shake a bit when being started, and even shutting the driver door feels different (more solid). I cannot comment on improved shifting because I do not power shift and I never had problems missing gears.

I am very happy with this mod for the low cost, easy of installation, and performance gains.

I don't believe I have one either, I'll look into that. Thanks for the review. Where'd you get yours?

this is a great mod for anyone looking to beef up the cornering and looking for a more stable feel of the car. shifts feel more firm, the only thing i didnt like was since the engine and trans dont move as much you feel more vibrations in the car, but overall a very good mod.
