Default Nuts!!!!! HUNDREDS of 'em

OK... so here's one for you... You might be a redneck if... You have to remove 100 or more acorns from your airbox before going on a road trip.

I should have taken a picture actually. It was downright comical and disturbing all at once. I popped the top off the (stock) airbox as I was going to swap my newly cleaned and oiled K&N in there and what do I find?

Musta been over a hundred of them. Acorns. About two inches deep in there.

Literally had to remove the bottom half of the airbox and dump the doggone things out.

I can't imagine... I would think they're too big for a mouse to carry in there... so a squirrel maybe?

Industrious little S.O.B. Mind you... the car doesn't sit... it's my daily driver. 30K miles a year even.

If it fills up again, I'll definitely get a pic to post.... right before I dump it out and fabricate a chicken-wire "nozzle" guard....

Thats a fricken squirrels winter food supply.
Replace them asap and park it back where it was until spring.
A simple electric fence charger will keep the little bastard at bay...
Keeps the local dogs from pissing on my rims as well....
And no more door to door solicitors lean on my stang anymore.

The squirrel is trying to tell you that you're nutz for using a K&N drop-in. Get a CAI & tune.

LOL... actually, I removed that little nozzle thing on the airbox.... the car (procured previously owned) came with the K&N Drop-in and I have an SCT tuner so aside from the CAI.... I'm damn near there.

Haven't checked it yet... perhaps tomorrow.

I have my old airbox sitting in a cardboard box in my garage. I had to put it on for emissions (long story) and it was filled with acorns too. If you think about it, it's a perfect spot for them to stay during the winter
