Shaker hood scoop ?
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if you can use this scoop on a v6, if you are also running a X-charger. There is an X-charger in my future, so I don't want to put a shaker on now, if It won't work down the road.
Thanks

It can be done - you have to do some fabrication to make it work and it hides the blower:
A friend did it to his car, and as you can see it doesn't feed any air to the intake. I've been thinking about getting the Foose hood and attaching the scoop directly to the hood so that air can cool the Xcharger but when the hood is up the Xcharger is exposed.

Moved the thread here for better exposition since it's been done before...
JimC, that sounds like a plan...
But remember that the scoop is made out of pot metal (rather heavy) and it would stress your hood opening after a while on road bumps and such.

Get the scoop only, from NPD or Mustang Unlimited...
Any of those classic Stang parts warehouses, it's cheaper.
You could rig rubber stops on each sides of the scoop to rest on when your hood is shut.
The challenge would be to make something aesthetically feasible...
