Mine did this as well. Not sure what causes it, maybe armor all does it or some other chemical.

Its common.
Wait until your rear view mirror starts to delaminate from the edges...

ArmourAll is the worst thing to use on anything except the inside of a trash can...

New air bag is the only way to replace it except for aftermarket badges (if they exist)...

Extrapolate on this 'fix', plese.
How did you remove the emblem to 'fix' it?
And how did you reattach it?

hey thanks for all the feedback fellas. at least i now know its not a unique issue. my first thought was that warm/hot cabin temperatures caused this. i guess the one thing that's certain is that the badge quality falls short for longevity.

Possible solution I found:

http://forums.themustangsource.com/f...emblem-483842/

The guy that they got their custom decals from is out of business, but if you can find someone to make you a decal this Saleen solution looks good to me.

Remove the badges?
We don't need to remove no stinkin badges.
A steady hand and a tiny paint brush is all that's needed.
I know, I'm making it to easy. Sorry.

my 07 did this within months of being new... (and it had nothing to do with armor all)

I noticed this shortly after buying my stang. Really is a wonderful quality part. In the same vein as the rest of the plastic interior. Anyone know if the 2010 airbag cap will fit?

I think it's heat / cold related. Mine looks perfect after 4 years, but the car has spent 99.9% of it's life in the garage. Very low mileage too :-)
