Smile Got my car Dyno Tuned!

Yesterday got my car up on the dyno for a new tune (after I saw the scary results of my AM/Bama tune... sniffer showed 15:1 A/F ratio...). Car made 206 RWHP and 232 RWTQ on an Automatic tranny with just a C&L Intake

Assuming the drivetrain loss is at 18-20% for auto, my car is making around 250 HP & 285 TQ at the crank.

Will post the dyno sheets tonight, at school at the moment!

Here is the AM tune dyno sheet...

Look at that A/F ratio... This was with a sniffer, not through the 02 sensor; but either way thats way too lean. Look at the results tho, its all over the place like a 2 year old scribbling..

Here is the new dyno results:

(another run was 206 rwhp, they printed the wrong one, but close enough)
Look at the power increase and that great A/F ratio, not to mention perfect torque curve!

I think our loss is around 15% but those are still nice numbers. I'd like to get mine tuned but the closest Dyno wants $300 for a tune.

I have an intake, headers, and exhaust so I'm hoping to be a little bit higher. Maybe one day I'll get it done.

Our cars should make about 219 RWTQ and 193 RWHP

You picked up about 13HP and 13lbs TQ.

The tune I got from TI dynoed at about 207.5RWHP and 237RWTQ with a cat back exhaust (not dual and no headers). I am however using their 93 octane tune (they sent me 3) which should yield a few more ponies from higher compression.

Traditional drivetrain loss is usually 18% to 20% for automatics and 15% for manual so he's about right on.

That's pretty decent numbers man! That was one high a/f before the dyno tune!

Wait are you saying this is what we should make stock? Stock a manual would make 178.5 rwhp and 204 rwtq with a 15% drivetrain loss. With automatic it is even more.

Just a technical note: 93 octane doesn't raise compression any (that's a mechanical function of the engine cylinder size, piston stroke, etc). What 93 does do, is leave more headroom so that ignition timing can be advanced more without running into knocking/detonation.

I've seen stock manuals make anywhere from 178-188whp stock
and Autos make anywhere from 155-178whp Stock

Either way, very nice gains!

Like I said on your other posting... Your A/F at idle is irrelevant, its normal to see a lean A/F at idle. All that matters is A/F @ WOT.
