Are you talking about the GT rotors? If so you need the GT caliper bracket as well. The bigger rotor won't fit the stock 2005-09 front brakes (rear brakes are the same). The caliper itself is the same, it is only the rotor and bracket sizes that are different.

New take off sells the complete kit (rotors, calipers, and brackets). All that you need to do is take the brackets off the calipers and swap them. That way you don't have to bleed the brake system because you never open it up if you leave your original calipers in place.

Thanks Jim! on every post i read you are always such a help to everyone. i really appreciate all the detail.
one issue is can i just get the brackets and the rotors? i don't really need the calipers and dont really want them just sitting around collecting dust.... also the coin is an issue too. i guess i could wait till next pay day i was just hoping there was another route rather then buying the whole set.

Try your local dealer parts department and see how much for the brackets alone. You may have to go over the schematic with the parts guy, at the local dealership he kept telling me that there wasn't any difference.

I have a source that I use for OE take off stuff including front brake rotors so was able to pick up a set a lot cheaper than the dealer - and since I wasn't changing out all the rotors to slotted or something, I just replaced them with OE on the front.

You need 2 caliper brackets part #6R3Z-2B134-B, the same left and right.
And if ordered from FORD, they come with the much needed one time use fastners.

I got a set off of the for sale section of the Forum and only had to
pay the shipping charge for them. Are not mustang owners nice?
I got the new - one time use - yeild to torque - hardware from Ford.

NTO sells the rotors calipers and brackets as a 'kit' because they also
dont want the calipers sitting around collecting dust...
They know you dont pop open the brake system and replace
the "V6" calipers with the "GT" calipers.
But I am sure there are a few who do not know that the
calipers are the same and swap them as well because they
came as a "KIT". sad but true

That's the best way to get the brackets! The transfer is easy on the fronts. Just need a big "C" clamp to push the pistons back in on the front (the rears take more work and a special tool). There should be a write up on the site with instructions and if not here I think that there is one at www.mustangcollective.com
