Default Which vacuum line for Seafoam

I'm planning on using some Seafoam on my 2007 v6 this weekend to clean out the carbon build up. Anyone know which vacuum line I should use (if you have a pic that would be great)? I heard I shouldn't use the brake booster b/c it doesn't feed all the cylinders.

Thanks,
Mark

Although I've used SeaFoam on numerous occasions mixed in the gas tank, I've never needed to do direct injection. Marky82, whats the purpose besides general cleanup? Is your carbon buildup significant enough that you need to do direct injection vs the simple fuel mix? Unless there's a significant problem that you suspect carbon and other contaminants, I prefer to stay away from direct injection.

Other folks here have done it and hopefully they'll chime in. I was going to suggest the brake booster line but I also suspect that there's a better way. Thanks for the vote of confidence anyway, Kevin.

No, nothing major and I already added it to the fuel a few months ago. I used to do it to my 97 Camaro and it seemed to smoothed out the idle.

If you're having issues that running it thru the tank isn't helping, then by all means, direct feed is the next step. But that's up to you. It's a low-risk activity but I shy away from unnecessary things like that. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

You could run it through the tank without it diluting your octane or reducing the quality of the fuel? You use the whole thing?

It's a detergent additive. Instructions for use in the fuel tank are on the can. IIRC, it's 1/2 can to a 1/2 tank or a full can to full tank ... but read the instructions to be sure.

I've also done direct injection on my Acura. No issues, but question whether it's especially helpful or not.

Any of the fuel system cleaners will have instructions to tell you how many ounces are required to treat XX gallons of fuel. It sometimes takes a little basic math. One cleaner I used came in a 12 oz bottle and treated 12 gallons. I needed 16 oz to treat the 16 gallon tank in the Stang. 1 1/3 bottles (12 oz + 4 oz) did the trick.

Be sure to add it at the gas station before filling the tank AND run that tank down to about 1/4 before filling up again (thus dilluting what's left in the tank) in order to get as much of that mixture thru the fuel system.

From what I remember 1/3 goes into the gas, 1/3 into vacuum line, and 1/3 goes into the oil (but must change oil within 20 miles or something like that)
