Default IS ram air worth it?

hey guys-

So I had a mishap in my baby and needed to get a new hood. Decided on a cervinis type 4... So I have the option of getting the functional ram air kit ($250) and i was wondering if it was worth it performance wise or if its a waste of money. Thx in advance!

The hood? yes. The kit? no. IMO

I have that hood and get a ton of compliments, but don't wast the 250 on that kit. Put it towards another appearance mod, or performance mod.

I agree with jcon, even though my hood was free i have a hood with ram air, i personally think it makes the hood heavier. My hood weighs alot, im not sure what cervini's hood ways. but for looks a give it two thumbs up

It's pretty heavy in comparison to stock. But it looks great

You can force as much air as you wish to try but the engine will only ingest what it can and no more. You'll gain nothing over what most any CAI can ingest.

Ram Air was a thing for carbureted cars anyway. Direct feed FTW!
Even my "functional" Shaker doesn't do squat. Looks damn good though.

Hey, I recently purchased the hood, but without the kit. It looks AMAZING, as for the kit, it... cervini claims to increase your horsepower by 25 and your torque by 20, it's not true.

That's sale's speech.
Don't fall for that.
I could match that HP gain with my wife's hair dryer, just sayin'.
