Buy a turbo and call it a day, it will roughly be the same price as the Xcharger Xtreme.

Not a bad idea but those boost controller available with turbos can be addictive. Tweak, tweak, tweak, POP! But for absolute max horsepower nothing can touch them.

Turbos deliver the most torque/hp hands down.

A properly sized and setup single turbo is all that is required. There are people putting down well over 400RWHP with a single turbo on the 4.0 a few have managed to keep their motors together a lot have eventfully pop them and move on to a V8 in the quest for more and more power. To be fair there have been engine failures will every available FI option just some more then others and for varying reasons. Something to look at when weighing your options. Your biggest decision has most to do with what you intend to use you Mustang for. Then chose an option that fits that need. All the options have certain things they are better suited for.

As far as what's available Custom Turbo, NOS, Procharger, Vortech/Paxton, X-Charger...Pretty much covers it for the 4.0.

For turbo don't forget the Powerhouse set up Gaylon - that is what Bob runs on his car.

When looking at the powerhouse turbos, whats the difference between the one thats 5 grand and the one thats 4 grand labeled as "tuner kit"?

Also, is finding a shop to install a turbo usually harder and generally very expensive?

I believe the tuner kit @powerhouse411.com doesn't come with injectors /tuner or it may just come without a tuner.

Well i dunno if i want a turbo if my car will "blow up" cause like us all i get kinda crazy with my car. I still am leaning towards the stage two intercooled procharger. I cost $4800 with free shipping. Not bad of a price. I looked up some videos of prochargers and it sounds bad ***. They get roughly 330hp total or whatever. "50 to 80%" more gains. I still got a longgggggggg way to go to save to even get the cheapest and crappiest forced induction mod so i got time to research which i am still doing on my free time.
