Single GT muffler installed on 2010 V6 - vibrating/rattling
I recently installed a 2010 manual GT muffler on my automatic 2010 V6. The install was very easy and the rolled tip fits perfect in the cutout with plenty of space between the tip and the valance. Every once in a while I will get an annoying vibrating/rattling noise coming from the muffler. This seems to happen when the car has first been started before it completely warms up, at idle when at a stop (750 rpm), or when it is hot/humid outside.
Would the resonator that was on my OE V6 muffler do anything to help with this issue if it was welded to the GT muffler, or will it just have to wear in properly?
The GT muffler was in excellent condidtion and looked like it was taken off before any significant amount of miles was put on the previous vehicle. The clamp, muffler, pipe, and tip look immaculate.
Does anyone have any tips or recommendations as to what I could do to remedy this problem?
Thanks,
Mark

You say you put a gt muffler on your six but was it duals? or just one exhaust? Im not familiar with 2010 mustangs but it should be very close to 05-09 models. The easiest fix (if this is the raddle) would be to get some to rev it slowely and your on the car and find the raddle and whatever it is raddleing on and find a way to fix it.

It was just a single GT muffler. I actually tightened the clamp bolt today and it seemed to lessen the rattle. I didn't have a proper socket at the time, just a crescent wrench, so I will see if I can tighten it some more. Hopefully it will take care of it.
